Biography

Shakib Khan is an unprecedented favorite name to the audience of Bangladeshi film lovers and as a Bangladeshi film actor he is a rubies. His real name is masud rana. This glorious actor was born on 28 March, 1983 in Narayanganj, Bangladesh. His father Abdur Rab was a government officer and his mother Nurjahan is a housewife. His father's job required the family to frequently relocate from one city to another during his school days. He was a brilliant student and had very good results in both SSC and HSC exams. Shakib made his debut in Annotho Bhalobasha (1999), though it did not grant him wide fame, after few years Khan established himself as one of the most successful and highest paid actors in the Bangladeshi film history. Throughout his career, Khan has received various awards and acclamations, including two National Film Awards for Best Actor for Bhalobaslei Ghor Bandha Jay Na and Khodar Pore Ma, and seven Meril Prothom Alo Awards. He has done more than 150 films till now (2015). Since 2011 Shakib Khan has been the president of the Film Artist Association Bangladesh. He has also done some philanthropic work, such as supporting the Rana Plaza cause. On 10 February 2014 he launched his own production house, SK Films. Apart from his film career, Khan owns a restaurant chain in Dhaka named “Red Chicken”. Presently he is the president of the Film Artist Association and is engaged in various cultural activities. He is also the brand ambassador of Pran Power Energy drink and Asian Duplex Town.
